We took the Inter-Islander Ferry from Wellington to Picton. It would have been a nice view but the weather decided to turn very British on us and it rained the whole trip (and was foggy so we couldn't see much!).
We checked into our hostel and prepared ourselves for the Stray Bus tour that we're doing tomorrow. We planned to get an early night but we weren't going to be so lucky! The fire alarm at the hostel went off during the night - not just once though but FOUR times!! The first was at 1:30am, then 3am, the 5am and 8am (but we slept through that one!). The first time, we all got out of bed and walked out to the street. After that, we stayed in the room while the owner turned the alarm off!
That morning, feeling a little tired, we were dropped back at the Ferry Terminal to wait for the Stray Bus.
