Big Balls

The next day we left Oamaru and headed further south towards Dunedin.

We stopped on the way at the Moeraki Boulders - a group of large rocks on the beach. The Maori's believe that the rocks were gourds from their ancestor's canoes (Woka's) which crashed and the gourds and food supplies were washed ashore and turned into stone.
We took some sensible photos of them before taking a few 'silly' ones!

We stayed a while before
carrying on to Dunedin.
